SriLanka (Plot D96), The World- DUBAI
Designer was inspired by a sea-shell (Murex pecten) achieving an unbroken biologically-based shape, to convey the spirit of the Nature in the shape of the buildings and in the shape of the island itself.
Vision is not to create number of separate buildings scattered within the island but the whole island at one stroke.
Based on the above the dominating idea is the “head” that resembles the shell with its’ cover and emphasizes a main entrance that can be visible from afar
Then arises the smoothly curved line with the various types of Water villas, this line is like a spine forms the basis of the island.
The “ribs” of the spine are the main theme within the island, they influenced all the structures in Water Villas and Apartment Block.
The project accommodates
– Hotel with 81 keys, Beach villas (11 Nos.), Water villas (17 Nos.), Apartments (85 Nos.)
